Part Time Event Coordinator (Contract)

Black America Summit is currently seeking a dedicated virtual Part Time Event Coordinator to assist with our Black America Summit II event in August 2021. Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, can-do attitude and a history of coordinating successful events.

Event Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with our nonprofit Executive Director to execute event plans
  • Maintain Panel folders
  • Research potential panelists and sponsors
  • Schedule Zoom calls with panelists and sponsors
  • Send speaker prep and survey forms
  • Assist with day of event execution
  • Work with Social Media intern to execute social media campaign
  • Help with capturing audience feedback through surveys and event chat section
  • Keep appropriate information confidential

Event Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications

  • Superb editing skills
  • History of supporting events or programs
  • Strong communication skills (with a focus on timely responses)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Ability to work independently

Job Details

Length of Contract: 2 months (July and August 2021)

Hourly Pay: $20/hr

Budgeted Work Hours: 20 hours per week

Social Media Intern (Paid)

Black America Summit is proud to bring back our groundbreaking 4-week summit. We need an amazing remote social media intern who can help us creatively get around our shadow ban. We have phenomenal content, all the tools needed and a great social media plan; we just need you!!

Social Media Intern Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fill in social media templates with the information panelist provide
  • Create social media captions and tweets
  • Execute Social Media campaign
  • Assist in panel graphics and video introductions
  • Keep appropriate information confidential

Social Media Intern Requirements and Qualifications

  • Ability to stick to a outlined schedule
  • Strong editing skills
  • Understanding of how to write relevant and professional captions and hashtags
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to create graphics
  • Extensive knowledge and experience using social media platforms: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram
  • Video editing

Job Details

Length of Contract: 2 months (July and August 2021)

Hourly Pay: $20/hr

Budgeted Work Hours: 10 hours per week
